EDUCATION
I studied Jazz Guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and learned nothing there. Playing a lot with friends, in musical orchestras, bands, commercial recordings taught me so much more. It's all about having fun and creating art without rules!
Listening to old and new music has always been part of my life, so here are some influences:
Sun Ra, Ariel Pink, Animal Collective, Prince, George Brassens. Eddie Harris, Jimmy Smith, The Beach Boys, The Damned, Danzig, Ben Webster, John Scofield, Moondog, The Ex, Koos Alberts, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin, Joe Tex, Swamp Dogg and many many others.
